"Easy Thai Shrimp Saute", is a simple to make and a classic Thai dish and its one of my favorite appetizer made for my hubby's birthday dinner party which came out excellently well and you know he just loved it...!:-) the taste was very different as it had a flavor mixture of salty,lemony, little bit sweet and the consistency of the shrimp was awesome..you have to try to feel it.

Best for a candle light dinner, when served with thai sticky  rice, naan, or crusty french loaf.

Recipe



1. Medium to large shrimp or prawns, butterflied (shells can be removed or left on, as desired) - 12- 15 nos.

2. Thai Oyster sauce - 1 1/2 to 2 tbsp

3. Soy sauce - 1 tbsp

4. Fish sauce -  1 tbsp

5. Brown sugar- 1 tbsp

6. Cloves minced garlic(to taste) - 5 to 6 nos

7. Lemon juice - 2 tbsp

8.Oil for stir-frying - 2-3 tbsp

9. Fresh red chili, minced - 1 no  (OR) dried crushed chili - 1/2 tsp or to your taste

10. Lime or lemon wedges - To your needs

11. Coriander  leaves - To your needs or 1 handful

Method

1. Marinade/sauce preparation:  Oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, garlic, lime juice, chilli in a mixing bowl and nicely mix all.

2. Nicely mix shrimp in the sauce and so that the sauce gets evenly coated on all sides of the shrimp.

3. Heat some oil in a frying pan, when oil becomes hot, add the shrimps along with the sauce.

4. Stir-fry 2-3 minutes, or until shrimp becomes plump and pink. They will also be lightly browned from the sauce. (Don't overcook, shrimp will turn rubbery.)

5. Garnish with coriander leaves and lemon wedges as shown or to your creativity.



Try it and you will enjoy like anything especially when its a Candle light dinner with your special ones:-)
